Lime wash alternatives

Posted By: Peter Hadley

Can you recommend a paint as a substitute for traditional white limewash to apply to a lime plastered internal church wall. Andrew Wood, our Church Architect suggests that I consult your firm. The walls are in fairly poor condition and will need replastering in due time and so we are looking for a 5-10 year expedient. We limewashed 5 years ago but its a messy business!

    Hi Peter

We have several options available as an alternative to limewash. We would likely recommend our Beeck mineral paint range as these offer the highest durability along with full vapour permeability. It is dependent on the substrate as to which paint will work best. If you have any photos that you could email across to [email protected] and i can better advise on the most suitable option.

    Kind Regards

    Adam
